چکیده
This study investigates the patterns of global coffee trade flows and identifies major determinants by incorporating RTAs as important variable. Gravity modeling with OLS PPML estimator was employed for analysis using panel data on bilateral 18 exporters 201 trading partners period 2001–2015. Both exporter GDP (and population) well importer were found to be enhancing trade. Of distance variables, physical is impede trade, while common border enhance it. On other hand, cultural (distance) variables like colonial link, colonizer language also Other that significantly include depreciation in exporting country’s exchange rate, amount arable land country, infrastructure financial crisis. importing country tariff reduce expected. The major issue in this analysis is to explore why Iran over or under-traded with the 76 countries relative to the predicted trade flows of the model. The study attempts to explore the reasons from the respect of both the model itself and Iran’s trade structure. This is done by analysing the performanc...

This explains why almost half of the RTAs notified to the General Agr...

Abstract T his paper explains bilateral trade patterns between South Korea and thirteen OPEC member countries over the period 1980-2014 using a gravity model. The estimation results show that the gravity equation fits the data reasonably well. We confirmed the existence of long term relationships between the bilateral trade flows and the main components of gravity model - ...
